K-Kids is asking for your help in collecting items for the Hesperia Animal Shelter. They would like to support the shelter by providing items for the animals that are being cared for there. Any donations you can make will help! Please send in items to the school office by January 30th. *New or gently used blankets and towels! **Krystal Lost and Found** Lost and found is available for parents to access in the front entrance of the school. Items will be on display through December 22nd. Krystal Spirit Day! Let's have some fun on the last day before Christmas break! Wear your ugly sweaters (or red & green) on Thursday, December 22nd. Students participating in this spirit day may wear jeans and please remember to follow the district's dress code.

PTC's Santa Shop is back! Our shop will be open for students Dec.12th-Dec.16th during the school day. Students will have a designated time to shop with their class and may also shop during their lunch. Look for the Santa's Shop flier and envelopes to come home so that your child can plan for shopping. Items range in price from 50 cents - $20. This is a fun opportunity for Krystal Students to purchase small gifts for family members.

The Student Council will be selling candy cane grams next week, December 5th-9th. Students will be able to purchase candy cane grams to send to their friends during recesses. Parents are able to purchase grams to be delivered to their child on Monday and Tuesday mornings only, from 8:40-9:10 in the front lobby. Thank you for your support!

Dear Krystal Families, We are excited to announce the new principal of Krystal, Dina Piazza-Ramsey. She comes to us with administrative experience and she will be a great addition to our Krystal community. Her start date will be Monday after break, November 28th. She will be reaching out soon to introduce herself. We hope you have a great Thanksgiving Break!

HUSD and the HDAOR (High Desert Association of Realtors) are committed to stopping youth substance abuse. The HDAOR "How to recognize-prevent substance abuse" meetings are aimed at helping parents help children deal with peer pressure, detect substance abuse problems, and/or determine appropriate intervention steps. The HDAOR will host a series of free workshops dedicated to helping those who have not become involved in drug or alcohol use to avoid doing so and encourage those who are struggling with addiction to get the help that they need. Inclement Weather Dismissal In anticipation of the rain continuing through dismissal today, just a reminder that the inclement weather dismissal process is very similar to regular dismissal. DRIVE UP: Students will be in the building. Stay in your car and continue to pull all the way forward. It is VERY HELPFUL if you have a sign in your front windshield with your child's name and grade level so that we can easily radio for your child to come out to your car. WALK UP: Students will be in the cafeteria. Parents will enter through the cafeteria doors near the walk-up gate to pick up students. WALKER: Students will continue to exit the walker gate and will walk to the crosswalk or dirt lot behind the school.
